About the Course

Being able to use English independently can make a real difference when speaking to employers, attending appointments, contacting services, reading letters, or writing formal messages. This privately delivered ESOL Level 2 course helps learners improve the language skills needed for those situations.

The course is suitable for learners who can already use basic English but want to become clearer and more confident. You will practise understanding longer instructions, explaining information in a structured way, asking and answering questions, and choosing appropriate language for workplace, service, and formal settings.

Learners will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills throughout the programme. Written tasks include short formal emails, service-related messages, and responses to common letters. Speaking practice focuses on giving clear explanations, responding appropriately, and managing common conversations in professional or official contexts.

Sessions are interactive and tutor-led, giving learners the chance to practise independently while receiving clear guidance and feedback.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:

  • Communicate more clearly in common workplace situations
  • Take part in everyday service and appointment-based conversations
  • Understand and respond to more detailed spoken instructions
  • Read and understand common official or service-related letters
