Who is Eligible for the Global Talent Route?
The Global Talent Visa is a valid route for those from the Philippines with potential talent to be leaders in their field as well as those who are already key figures in their area of expertise.
Professionals in medicine, engineering, humanities, arts, and culture, research, digital technology, and science can apply for the Global Talent Visa.
Applicants seeking the Global Talent visa need to first get an endorsement from any of the six endorsing bodies before submitting their application, except in the case of exceptional talent.
Global Talent Visa Application Based on Endorsement
The first step in applying for a Global Talent Visa is to gain endorsement. This must be done before submitting the Global Talent Visa application.
Each endorsing body has its own application process and requires evidence of your qualifications and applications. Once, this is done you have 15 days to submit your visa application.
The Home Office will be notified if your endorsement has been successful and you will then need to pay the relevant fees and submit all supporting documentation.
Routes to Endorsement Under a UK Global Talent Visa
Under the Global Talent category, there are four different endorsement types depending on your circumstances. Which option is most suitable depends if you:
- Are having your application peer-reviewed
- Have a fellowship
- Been offered a job as a researcher or academic
- Received a UK Research and Innovation research grant

Global Talent Visa Requirements For Endorsement
Depending on your sector, various requirements and documents will be needed when applying for a Global Talent Visa.
Digital technology – proof of investment, commercial, or product competence in developing digital products or overseeing investments in large digital product enterprises; or an individual with technical skills who can show their expertise in building or using technological systems.
Film & Television – applicants are assessed by the Producers’ Alliance for Film and Television and show extraordinary skill.
Architecture – qualified as a professional architect for at least five years and produced work published, presented, or displayed internationally.
Science, Engineering, Humanities, and Medicine – leaders in their respective fields or have the potential to be leaders in the science and research field.
Fashion – the British Fashion Council conducts the eligibility assessment on behalf of Arts Council England. Applicants must hold important positions in the fashion business.
Arts and Culture – produced professionally created work of outstanding quality that has been presented, performed, distributed, or exhibited internationally.
How to Apply Based on Appendix Global Talent Prestigious Prizes
You would not need an endorsement to be considered for a UK Global Talent Visa if you are a recipient of an industry-leading award.
The prize must be internationally recognised and must not have been revoked.

Global Talent Visa UK Fees and Processing Times
Following your application and submission of supporting documentation, you should receive a decision regarding your visa within three weeks if you are applying from outside the UK and eight weeks for applicants in the UK.
It costs £205 to apply for a Global Talent Visa if your application is based on an eligible award. However, your fees should be paid in two instalments if your application relies on an endorsement:

You will also need to pay the healthcare surcharge of £1035 annually for each applicant.
